Trauma-Informed

Childhood Family Dysfunction

Non-Blank Slate Therapy

What Does that Mean?

Trama-Informed

“Moods” that you can’t seem to shake off and last for hours or days at a time and negatively affect relationships and productivity.

Reactions that feel justified but in hindsight were out of proportion to the situation.

Suddenly feeling anxious, threatened, scared, or depressed in what seems like out of nowhere.

Thoughts, feelings, and emotions, from our childhoods and past traumatic events can be triggered by current events that have even the slightest of similarities. If you are unaware of your own triggers it can be very difficult to emotionally regulate.

This comes up A LOT in - marriages, relationships, work, or when alone. You can have a few good weeks then suddenly - where did our connection go? What happened to my confidence? Why do I feel this horrible?

With Trauma-Informed care your reactions and moods will be treated with empathy and be understood.

Learning the roots of your moods and reactions can drastically help with being able to understand what is happening in the moment, emotionally regulate, and recover.

Childhood Family Dysfunction

Feeling guilty for

Saying no

Making mistakes

That thing you said wrong at a social event 3 years ago

Having your own priorities

Always having to be the hero, the responsible one, the caregiver.

Or, feeling like your always being blamed?

If you are feeling seriously burnt-out, and are unsure of how to change, therapy can help identify if you are playing a role, where that role came from, and how to shift into healthier balance.

No Blank Slate Therapy

Client’s have described me as direct, humorous, and a good listener.

I won’t be siting across from you with the clip board without facial expression.

(I am not exactly the most animated, but I will share my thoughts)

I wont be giving you half hearted comments from the peanut gallery about your life that you could get from sitting at a bar.

I am going to be actively listening for YOUR TRUTH!

I will work to speak and confirm your truth to help you build and strengthen your INNER VOICE, your GUT, INSTINCT -

which with regular therapy can be better identified and strengthened.

I should introduce my self by now.
